Why We Say “NO” to Client Testimonials

At CTWPS, we have an atypical approach to the use of “testimonials” on our website. Although nearly every digital marketer - even Psychology Today! - will recommend that we ask our clients for supportive testimonials to promote our services, we strongly disagree.

In therapy and in executive coaching with us, we partner with you in a confidential and sacred manner, regardless of the issue that has brought you to us. It is never the job of our clients to promote our services in any manner.  In fact, it is our job to support YOU. While our practice has always thrived on professional and personal “word of mouth” referrals, we will never ask our clients to promote our business for us. We think it’s an inappropriate ask, given the intimate and confidential nature of our work.
